Art of Flow sessions continue to unfold even after you leave the table, so the way you care for yourself afterward can support deeper integration.
What to Expect
CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, and the other somatic practices we use are gentle, non-force techniques. They help your nervous system settle, unwind old patterns, and create space for your natural self-regulation to return.
After a session, your body may continue releasing, reorganizing, or softening for hours or even days. You might notice:
A deeper, easier breath
A sense of inner flow or grounding
More clarity, intuition, or emotional ease
Memories or insights surfacing
Feeling more connected to your body or inner guidance
All of these responses are normal. Simply allow them to move through.
How to Support Integration
Your system is more open and sensitive right after a session. Giving yourself a little extra spaciousness helps the work settle more fully.
Move slowly if you can.
Drink water and rest when needed.
Spend time away from screens or heavy stimulation.
If insights or feelings arise, jot them down or give yourself a moment to reflect.
Engage in gentle practices that feel nourishing—journaling, quiet walks, stretching, creativity, or simply being still.
Honoring this inner space helps your tissues and nervous system imprint the shifts that began during our work together.
Follow-Up Sessions
Somatic work builds over time. For most people, sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart support the natural rhythm of integration. If you’re new to this work, three consecutive sessions often give the clearest sense of how it can support your life and symptoms.
Final Notes
Be kind with yourself as your system recalibrates. If anything feels unclear or you’d like to share how you’re doing, you’re always welcome to reach out.
